Brazilian economy is just the biggest one in South America, they are not leaders in anything. Chile and Argentina have better standard of living than Brazil , not to mention that some parts of Brazil are becoming land without law due to the conflict between narcos and the Brazilian state. Most developed parts of Brazil are in the south, where people of European ancestry are more numerous.
