Learnin Brazilian Portuguese is difficult

Learning Brazilian Portuguese is difficult because people speak Brazilian (although they consider it an incorrect dialect of Portuguese) but in schools they learn Portuguese as if it were a foreign language.

For any nice job in Brazil, a person must take a Portuguese language test.
Imagine what would happen if the same applied for US-born English speakers...if in every job interview they were offered an English grammar test.

Brazilians are obsessed with grammar and language purity, unlike Americans. In US, everybody's free, in Brazil they still have that 19th century grammar nazism alive and kicking. Instead of spending hours and hours using useless 19th century Portuguese grammar rules (falar-lhe-ei) they should better learn some proper English or Spanish.
