It's been so long.

Where have you been these last days?

Yes, what you said was a bit off. I would recommend something like this:

"Hi! It's been (quite) awhile, how have you been these days?"

Personally I wouldn't ask where the person has been until I've first asked how the person has been. Of course, if you know the person better, asking where they've been at first would be more acceptable.

There are actually plenty of different ways you can formulate such an expression, depending on how well you know the person (how formal or informal the relationship is) and how long it's been since you've seen them.

Sorry, that doesn't sound quite right. You can say something like "I haven't seen you in a long time" or "it's been a long time since I last saw you" or try one of Guest's or my other suggestions above.
