In the following conversation, two guys were talking about a beautiful waitress who served them. Can anybody tell me what one of the guys meant by saying "I've got to get a couple of cups in me first"?

"The girl's pretty, so what? It's just a visual thing. It's purely an illusory thing."
"Don't do your Kierkegaard on me this early in the morning. I've got to get a couple of cups in me first."

Coffee. Cups of coffee. Kierkegaard is heavy stuff, and you will need to be fully awake and alert to handle it. (K. was a philosopher.)
