Hello!

what will be the right preposition in the following sentence?

Flowers appear on the tree.
or
Flowers appear in the tree.

Thank you

"on the tree"

I suppose the only way they could be "in the tree" is if someone threw a bouquet of flowers in the air and they got caught in the branches!
