Is it really necessary to learn figures of Speech in English?
What is Figures of Speech?
If you make it known that english isn't your first language people will adapt how they talk so that you can understand them but if you dont want to do that then I would really recommend learning the figures of speech coz they get used a lot.
Well, everyone knows that when it comes to speaking, there's more than one way to skin the cat, but if you want to be functional in the language you've got to be able to roll with the punches. Its probably best to learn general grammar first--as far as figures of speech go, you can cross that bridge when you come to it.
