Why do most people tend to say "sorry" when they "sound preachy?" I mean is there anything wrong with being preachy? Just curious.

It's a regional thing. Asians tend to behave that way more than westerners.

What do you mean Aramaiti?

Well generally Asians are RELATIVELY more apologetic than Americans, Brits, Europeans and other english-speaking countries. It's rooted in their culture.

Perhaps it depends on what you mean by "Asians"; the English generally seem to mean people from the sub-continent, whereas to Australians and New Zealanders "Asian" refers to those from China, Japan, Korea etc.

People who live in the continent Asia are called Asians. If you have had a wrong perception on this issue then it is never too late to ponder it over.
It doesn't matter what "Asians" means to British or Australian people. Try to learn the right facts. If the aforementioned people have had a wrong perception about it then they should also need to put their books in order.

The term "Asians" include Indians, Bangaledeshis, Koreans, Chinese...etc
They all are inhabitants of the continent Asia.
