Seaweed? Like Japanese nori? Underwater plant with large leaves that grown in the ocean, and is eaten all over the Far East?
http://tepserver.ucsd.edu/~eshepard/Images/KELP.jpg Algae is the soft, slimy green matted stuff that grows in standing water. I don't think it gets eaten much! http://www.macarthurwatergardens.com/images/AlgaeRock.jpg Moss is a low-growing primitive plant that looks like green carpet and is found on land. I don't think it gets eaten much, either. http://lepak.smugmug.com/photos/11582888-S-1.jpg |
