"happends"

I have noticed that some people write: "happens" as "happends". Is there a specific reason behind that? or it's just a typo?

I've never seen "happens" written as "happends" but for some North Americans the way they pronounce "happens" may actually sound more like "happends." There is something about "en" sound next to the "s" that makes them add a soft "d" sound between. If someone was writing what they heard rather than using the standard spelling of "happens", this might explain what you read.

I've never seen that. But "d" and "s" are right next to each other on the keyboard, and if people type the way I do....

Probably they mean that something has a happy end, ends happily ;)
