yeah...it was a good movie...very Catholic though (Mary wearing a habit, the nails going through Jesus' hands instead of his wrists, etc.).
Keep in mind, it is a movie, and although he followed the Bible pretty closely, there's some definite literary license. The use of Aramaic and Latin, though, was extremely impressive. Oh yeah, I'm Skippy...Dallas-native studying Political Science and Linguistics at San Diego State...Nice to meet ya'll! :-D

Hmmm. Is there any historical evidence for such details? The cross itself was not mentioned in the Bible. It appeared after an incorrect translation of the Greek "stavros" (noun: pillar, verb: to execute by impaling) to Latin Crux (Cross). Then a kind of feedback established this mistake over the original meaning.
What the heck do Bush's daughters have to do with anything on this thread?---Weirdo.
I just thought that since the theme of the thread is sooo non-linguistics, we could just post any rubbish here!
BTW I dislike the whole English section of Antimoon and like to post rubbish here. Other languages rule!!!
