Question regarding prefix

I don't see that thread that was here before regarding homosexuals.

Anyway, I posed I greatly cool question there which was not offensive so I must state it again as to enlighten the world.

Why "homophobic" and not "homosexualphobic"? Couldn't "homophobic" have other meanings too, for example to be afraid of "homozygous" things or something?

The truth is beaconing to me but I can't justly discern it.

I've always wondered who the clown was that dreamed up "homophobic."

Fear of the same?

Theoretically, "homophobic" could mean "to be very much afraid of or appalled by homogeniety" as well. But, as far as I am aware, no-one uses or even knows this meaning. I think the meaning in connection with homosexuality is used only.
