Hello. I just wanted to obtain some benefit from this thread.
I'm traveling to New York this summer, and wanted to know how good is my english going. I know you'll easily recognize my accent but only need to gauge the comprehensiveness of my speech.

It's not bad, but you're putting the stress on some of the wrong syllables. 'ResPECters' has the stress on the second syllable, not the first. 'UnFORtunately' is stressed on the second syllable.

OK, thank you very much. And apart from stressing correctly the syllabes, do I need any other advice? May I ask you if you had any hard time trying to understand it? ... I just need to be understood properly because I'll be traveling alone probably.
