How do we know that? Are you a kind of genius?

I agree with furrykef, you have to be careful, even as a native, of overthinking things and rationalizing for the answer you think you're supposed to give. I had an much longer answer ready for the initial question until I reread it, thought of some exceptions to the "rule" I thought I had worked out, then went back and reread the original question, realized that my answer was full of shit, and erased it.
