Just to clarify again however, the word "month" does not have the [Q] sound. Rather it shares the [V] sound in "sun", "run", "bun" etc.

the same when I copied it, it changed to Q from V, but it's not the most important part...
what I wanted to say was, if you pronounce months exactly like "mVnTs" It would be very difficult to pronounce, so I think most people pronounce it as "mVnts"
As for plurals though, they end in a [z] sound if the consonant at the end of the noun is voiced, but an [s] sound if it is unvoiced. Not all plurals end in [z]. "months" is [mVnTs], not *[mVnTz]

I hate English! Chinese is much easier!

I clearly distinguish "tenths" [tEnTs], from "tents" [tEnts]. What's with all the [T]-hating?
I hate Chinese! English is much easier! No tones to deal with.

I just can't pronounce something like "Ts" I think it's why a lot of words ended with "th" are pronounced as "ts" in their pluralities
