"Nerve Wrecking"
The phrase is not "nerve wrecking" but rather is "nerve wracking", for the record.
It can be spelled either "nerve wracking" or "nerve racking" (see http://www.bartleby.com/68/50/4050.html or http://dictionary.cambridge.org/define.asp?key=53399&dict=CALD ). It means that something is very stressful on one's nerves.
