Is that a Cyrillic "м"? Why use that in English?

But it is too general. Can you be more specific?

As there are several states in southern US, like New Mexico,Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida, can it be said each state has a sort of accent slightly different from that of other states?

What about people who speak English and can't write at all? For example people under 5 years and those illiterate adults.

Well, accents don't suddenly change once you cross a state border. There are regional accents like Coastal Southern and Southern Appalachian that encompass several states, and then there are a bunch of states (Texas, Louisiana, Florida, etc.) with a whole range of different and noticeably distinct accents.

BTW, New Mexico is a Southwestern state, not Southern, and Florida, though technically in the South, is only "Southern" at its panhandle. ;-)
