Killing me softly with his song

You know 'Killing me softly with his song' is a famous song title sung by Fugees.
I wonder whether 'killing me softly with his song' is paradox or metaphor..

It's confusing...
The definition of metaphor means a way of describing something by comparing it with something else which has some of the same qualities.
( For example, 'The mind is an ocean' and 'the city is a jungle' are both metaphors.)
The definition of paradox means a situation that seems very strange or impossible because of two opposite qualities or facts..

Do you think it's paradox or metaphor?
I wanna know your opinions..

p.s. Correct my writing if it's not correct...

It's a metaphor.
You can say "Your new dress is a killer", meaning that it's so good..
Similarly, saying that a song kills someone means the song is so powerful...
That's my opinion..

By the way, "Killing Me Softly with His Song" was made famous by Roberta Flack long before The Fugees.
