why learning english in french schools?
Apparently, certain cosmopolitan and internationalist powers-that-be think it's a good idea to learn a second (or third, etc.) language. Apparently, they've convinced various governments around the world to include foreign language instruction in schools.
As to whether or not idea has merit, I'll withhold my opinion.
