To run PerfectPronunciation, use the shortcut on your desktop or in the Programs menu. The icon for PerfectPronunciation looks like this:
If you have problems playing back the recordings in PerfectPronunciation, you probably need to install an MP3 codec. To do so, simply download the file l3codecx.exe (about 200 KB) and run it.
The front page
When you first run PerfectPronunciation, you can see the front page. The front page has links to the user guide and to the phonetic reference. We suggest that you read the phonetic reference before you start learning with PerfectPronunciation. It will give you knowledge of the sounds used in English words and will enable you to read phonetic transcription (see "Phonetic transcription").
You can return to the front page by pressing Home on your keyboard. Use the Page Up and Page Down keys to browse the pages. Click Learn to start learning.
