Sound playback and recording

For each word in PerfectPronunciation, there is a sound recording with a correct pronunciation of the word. When you are learning or reviewing a word, the recording is played automatically after you click the Show answer button.

After you click Show answer or when browsing the pages, the following panel is displayed:

• You can use the green Play button to play the recording again.

You can also record your own voice, and then play it back. This is a great technique, because it lets you compare your pronunciation with the correct pronunciation and eliminate any mistakes. You can record a word many times until you get it right.

• To start recording your voice, click the Microphone button. After you have said the word, click the Microphone button again to stop recording.
• To listen to your recording, click the blue Play button.
• You can use the Microphone button again to make a new recording. The old recording will be deleted.
• Any recordings you make will be left on your hard drive, even after you quit PerfectPronunciation. To remove a recording from the hard drive, click the Trashcan button.
