When something or somebody is becoming better, we say that there is progress or that
someone is making progress. For example, if you're becoming better at English, you can say
that you are making progress in English.
We have seen great progress in computer science in the past ten years.
Lots of people are stuck attending English classes, unable to make any real progress.
