<<Probably if Spain insisted in keeping southern Canada instead of giving Oregon to UK the whole Americas would be Spanish speaking. >>

What about Portuguese?

According to my book of History Portugal didn't have futher aspirations appart from the colony of Brazil in Americas. Spain explored and eventually colonised south America, central America and parts of North America (as north as Vancouver). Basically if the whole Americas are not Hispanised it's due to the lack of economic and human resources from Spain, but the target was to colonise form Patagonia to Alaska.

What this was intended to mean is this:

Even if Spain has insisted on keeping Canada, the whole of the Americas would still not be completely "Spanish speaking", because of Portuguese in Brazil.

Geeze.

<<Besides, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic and Hindi are more spoken as mother tongue than your language, English, only 5th in the World.

Not very impressive. >>

Bullshit. #5 out of how many thousands of languages that exist in the world, that IS impressive, ashwipe

Where is YOUR language raked?

How many people are actually learning those languages though?

How many countries have Hindi or Arabic as a compulsory subject in their education system?

When you go on the internet what language is used most often?

I have enjoyed watching your futile struggle to prove that Spain and its language are important but you are just embarrassing yourself.

I have enjoyed watching and fucking young girls in Thailand. It's common that English speaking pederasts use the English teaching pretext to abuse from children in Thailand.

Not exactly. Spain WAS an important country in the American History. I don't need to prove that. That is in the History books.

-How many of the American states were anytime Spaniards? More than 13.

-How many of the American states or cities have a Spanish origin?

Oregon, California, Arizona, Florida, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, Puerto Rico, Montana, Texas, etc.

-Which is the first American city?

San Agustin, Florida, founded by Spaniards.

-Which were the last European Territories in USA?

The American South West was Spaniard until XIX century

-An important point. The American colonies could be independent without the logistic help of Spaniards?

According to all experts, Americans couldn't be independent without the help of the Spanish King Carlos III.

Finally, Spanish language is the second most spoken in the USA (US census) and the second most studied in the World, after English (Instituto Cervantes).

PD. I don't care two hoots if you don't want to study Spanish, Edward Teach

You can not compare US states equally one to another. They differ as to population, importance and cost/standard of living. Of the former Spnish owned states, only Florida and California count. All others are sparcely populated and are poorer than say New York, Virginia and Illinois.

So if you think about it properly, there are only 3 former Spanish states: California, Florida, and the Rest as One--including Nevada. Texas belonged to France before Spain.

Do you really think New Mexico is equal in count to Georgia??
That is a shoddy use of statsitics to support a mislead.

No, it didn't.

"French Texas was the period of Texas history from 1685 until 1689. During this time, a French colony, Fort Saint Louis, existed near what is now Inez, Texas (USA). Explorer Robert de La Salle intended to found the colony at the mouth of the Mississippi River, but inaccurate maps and navigational errors caused his ships to instead anchor 400 miles (644 km) west, off the coast of Texas near Matagorda Bay."

"Spanish Texas was one of the interior provinces of New Spain from 1690 until 1821. Although Spain nominally claimed ownership of the territory, which comprised part of modern-day Texas, including the land north of the Medina and Nueces Rivers, the Spanish did not attempt to colonize the area until after discovering evidence of the failed French colony of Fort Saint Louis in 1689. In 1690, Alonso De León escorted several Catholic missionaries to East Texas, where they established the first mission in Texas. When native tribes resisted the Spanish presence, the missionaries returned to Mexico, abandoning Texas for the next two decades."

For most intents and purposes, yes it was ;)

That was a small lapse of time in which Texas was French. Before and after that Texas was Spanish. Louisiana was Spanish for more time than Texas was French. Where do you think the name of texas comes from? French?

The USA was never under British control. Several colonies, such as Virginia, were under British control. When these colonies gained independence from Britain, they unified together as one nation, forming the United States.
