Well, if a lot of French, Swiss, Belgian and Quebecois people speak English, WHY STUDY FRENCH?

To go to Congo or to Togo? I don´t think so.

I don't travel so I cannot care fuckin' less

To speak more fluently with the local people. To understand the road signs, understand the TV and the radio in the hotel, not become an arrogant American (the most common) going to preach English.

Crazy Cocorico is yet another Hispanic Fanatic who can't accept the fact that his language is spoken by nothing but border jumpers and criminals, and the greatest Spanish writer was actually an Englishman!

Even, I know a famous Parisian Hotel, with beautiful hotelkeepers, but what surprised me it's the fact that they spoke Russian.

Russian is more important and useful than Spanish and is challenging English and French as a global language. Remember that!

Most people everywhere speak English, so English is.

Hey Hispanic Flies, i hope thath this link will enlighten your mind why French is more important than Spanish. You were already told that the number of speakers alone is not enough.

Just take a look at these links: http://www2.ignatius.edu/faculty/turner/languages.htm and http://www2.ignatius.edu/faculty/turner/worldlang.htm.

Imagine Portuguese beat Spanish in the number of secondary speakers as mush as French beat English in this category according to Weber and Comrie.

Spanish is spoken only by 20,000,000 people Hahahahahahahaha and what a pity! This means that Spanish is not as intenational language as English, French, Russian, Arabic, or even Portuguese.

Once again the table proves that English and French are the most international languages. Spanish is ZERO in the outer core which means that its usage is just restricted to Spain and Hispanic America.

So what do these Hispanic Flies are bragging about their language prime position in the world? NADA.

And there's no truth about what these Hispanic Flies tell that French is not on the top ten. I don't see Korean, Tamil or Vietnames in this chart. You're all just lying.

English and French are most useful for traveling. Spanish speakers can't afford to travel.
Guest   Fri Jun 01, 2007 7:14 am GMT
French people haven´t time. They are burning cars around France. If a French need to buy a new car, he can´t travel neither.
Guest   Fri Jun 01, 2007 7:20 am GMT
The French don't really need cars to get around. They have other accomodations unlike the (U.S) Americans.

Truth be told.
