Truth be told, truth be cold (for the French)
Which are the most useful languages to travel?
Simple: English.
And a basic knowledge of other language depending on the are you visit:
Americas: Spanish
Asia: Chinese
Arabic world: Arabic
Former USSR: Russian
European Union and India are multilingual areas where English is enough.

I don't understand why a minority of US people don't want Spanich becoming the second or the first language spoken, it will be a cultural increase and US probably won't be considered as a second class country anymore
I think more or less the same.
Western Countries (Americas & Europe): English and Spanish.
Africa, Middle East and Muslim World: English & Arabic.
Asia-Pacific: English & Chinese

The most prestigious for travel is inevitably French. Because the francophone areas are the most visited of the world (France, Quebec, Marocco, Tunisia, Carribea, Polynesia, Indian Ocean, Switzerland, Val d'Aoste, Monaco, etc...).
After Spanish, for Spain the 2nd or 3rd most visited country and Latin-America (particulary Mexico)
The international language on the other hand, is English. It is obviously necessary to know it.

And also New Orleans and the French quarter, the most American beautiful city! Yes French is necessary in America too!

Actually, a MAJORITY OF AMERICANS don't want Spanish to be used. Also, we speak English and we're first class country right now. I'd love to hear what you consider to be a "first class country." Obvious you're not referring to any of those shitholes in Latin America, are you?
<<Switzerland???? In Switzerland you can speak Italian and German too, is not a Francophone country!!>>
They speak Swiss German in Switzerland, and it's completely different from standard German. Furthermore, very few people speak Italian, and it's not taught as much as the other two are. Your comments are those of someone who doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about.

If you're going to South America, learn Portugese. Most South Americans speak Portugese.

The only moron who doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about are you: SINCE you live in the US you have to explain what fuckin' you know about Switzerland and Europe!!
In Switzerland there are as many Italian speakers as for German and French and it is CURRENTLY taught in Italian speaking parts of Switzerland.
And if you are the same genius who wrote that in Val d'Aosta French is the common language we have the proof.
Ah yes, US is a very second class country

I'm not a fan of Americans but you're just talking out of your ass... here is my proof ~
Native speakers number about 64% (4.6 million) for German, 20% (1.5 million) for French, 7% (0.5 million) for Italian.

There is only one Italian-speaking university in Switzerland, Università della Svizzera Italiana.
At the moment there is one Italian speaking University in Switzerland,
founded by Mario BOTTA. This university has three departments: Economics, Communications (both in Lugano) and Architecture (in Mendrisio).
Italian-speaking people may go to Italy if they want to be taught in
Italian for all the matters which are not present in the Ticino
University. However, most of the time they go to Zurich or other
Swiss-german towns, or in the Suisse romande (french-speaking,
e.g. EPFL, UNIGE, UNIL, ...), thus they usually learn German and
French.

Visit Google Gibraltar and there are links there for Italian and Portuguese speakers. That's a pity for Spanish because it is being overwhelmed by its closest sister Romance language right in it's turf.
By the way Russian too is fast becoming wides pread in Gibraltar and even in Spain.
<<So I will learn Chinese next time I'll go in Normandy.... >>
Go ahead Hispanic fly and try it if the French are willing to speak Chinese. You will only succeed with the Chinese language in only in Spain and Hispanic America because the Chinese will invest and exploit the people of your country. The economies of Spanish will always remain stagnant.
