Which language is more important, French or Spanish?

<French can't even match German... > well..... in Europe where the largest group of Europeans are native German Speakers. But in the international arena French has the advantage over German. Thanks to its former colonies and current ones.
Le 2e « Guest » plus haut : une précision au cas où tu serais fâché avec les maths ou la logique (ou les deux apparemment). « Décliner » veut dire diminuer, ça ne veut pas dire être « inférieur ».
Par exemple, la suite de nombres {20 ; 17 ; 12 ; 8 } décline (la valeur des nombres diminue) mais elle est reste supérieure à celle-ci : {0 ; 3 ; 6 ; 7 } qui est pourtant croissante (la valeur des nombres augmente). Donc quand tu déclares que le français n'atteint pas l'allemand — ce qui, soit dit en passant, est une double erreur : sémantique et statistique — tu ne prouves absolument pas que le français décline. Un conseil : va t'acheter un cerveau et puis un livre de géographie aussi !

Honestly who cares? Whatever criter you decide to use to measure "importance" it will invetiably end up being subjective anyhow. Learn a language for the right reasons. Like because you curious about a particular culture and thus interested to proceed in learning more about it which is bound to lead you to new exciting experiences and make you grow as a person while you are at it.
BTW I think both french and spanish have a lot to offer. It's all up to the individual to decide which language suits him/her best. Whatever floats your boat like they say. And I don't think there's any harm in learning both if that's at all possible which would make the decision process a whole lot easier.

True. One good thing about the Romance languages is that if you've learned one, it will be easier to learn another.
A quien le importa cual es mas importante si Francés o Español, lo importante es que cualquiera de las 2 sirva de contrapeso contra el Inglés.
As for an Asian, Frech is much more important and helpful than Spanish. No doubt! And Spanish is useful only for Americans or Latin Americans.
meme si je parle francais je dirai que l'espagnol est plus important vu que c'est la troisième langue la plus parlée au monde juste derrière le chinois et l'anglais j'aime bien le francais mais je pense pas que c'est une langue très utilisée au monde parce que partout ou tu regardes tu verras l'anglais, l'anglais et encore une fois l'anglais et parfois c'est très soulant meme si j'adore l'anglais et meme j'ai très envie de l'apprendre et juste après l'espagnol dans les plupart des cas mais bon le francais est une jolie langue et je suis contente de l'avoir apprise car le francais n'est pas ma langue maternelle et bien sur je n'aimerais surtout pas l'oublier si jamais je retournais dans mon pays d'origine au contraire je veux l'ameliorer et bien sur si le Dieu le veux j'aimerais trop apprendre l'anglais et l'espagnol (peut-etre l'italien mais c'est pas sur) sa serait deja bien si j'arrivais apprendre ces 2 langues la lol
car j'adore les langues, les langues c'est vraiment ma passion et surtout l'anglais. Je crois que je suis amoureuse de cette langue lol il n'y a pas d'autres mots pour l'expliquer lol

And NINJA why do you insist in the same folly about Spanish ? Did you try to learn it and failed or what ?

> Muy bien porque es el mas importante All languages are important but the best part of English is its simplicity. Tenses are simple, articles and adjetives have no gender, lots of words of romance and Greek origin, verbs are very regular and conjugations are quite easy maybe too much and make a mistake is easy too ;) I think that's the reason why English is very extended worldwide and used like a bridge to interchange information between people who speak other languages. That's what I love of it. And that has nothing to do with the "POWER" of any country !!!!

Did you try to learn it and failed or what ?> My Answer: <No, I said Spanish is for a certainty the easiest language of Romance languages, both French and Italian is more complicated than Spanish on either pronunciation or spelling. And I think if I want to study Spanish hard, it will take partial energy of studying German, French or Italian for me to learn Spanish, so I have never failed to learn a language. |
