In Japanese, free time is just one character: 暇. Do you use this in Chinese as well?
JIAJIA   Mon Aug 04, 2008 9:36 am GMT
Sometimes, Europe is probably a little more biased against China than USA, but except for minority of people who're Anti-China on purpose (political intent), the most of Western people are not designedly against China, because they're fooled by some false information that spread by stupid authoritative medias, although they usually described that Chinese people are all brainwashed by government. I can understand that's not your faults, becasue you can only get detailed information from those stupid and Anti-Chinese medias, unconsciously, that you begin to consider China as an Evil country. This is the main factor which make you hate or dislike China.

闲暇 <noun> (in Chinese, it looks like a written form, not oral style) = leisure

In Japanese, a lot of vocabularies derived from Ancient Chinese, so they're very similar to Chinese words, and sometims even all the same, just like Traditional characters (maybe a little change, or the same), and they're now only used in classical Chinese articles, and not in Oral Chinese any more.

If we are brainwashed then it seems reasonable to think you might also be brainwashed...

OK, let's think we're both brainwashed, I was brainwashed by China's government, and you, by Western medias, then, Should we seek to shorten the disparities between us by building up mutual communication on the aspect of ideology and mentality. And I believe that one day, China will give a refined impression to the whole world.

<<Is it just me or does it seem that Europe is more biased against China than the USA? >>

China should be happy that the West is starting to become more anti-Chinese, and perhaps less anti-American. Now that the US is declining and China is rising, they're starting to realize that their future depends more on China and less on the US. China is the new 800-lb gorilla in world politics.

China will soon be powerful enough to ignore world opinion, and do whatever it pleases with the rest of the world. If that includes replacing local non-Chinese populations in the West or elsewhere with Chinese, expect bitter complaints as the local populations are eliminated. These complaints will be short-lived, of course.

JIAJIA,

Are you sure that you are not part of the secret police of your country to beautify your country's image? Your internet access is surprisingly good, your facts are full of communist propaganda, dude, I grew uo in the freakin socialist heaven, I can smell your righteous joy while boasting about "offending the good Chinese communists" and how bad the Westerners are. A country who doesn't care about its citizeens is good for nothing - I read that they are aboy 80000 riots/year against authority in China - do the math to see how many they are every day.

Get out of here, you secret police rat, go and spy on some innocent guy who tries to vent out the anger against regime and have him throw in reeducation camp and have more yuans on your salary or some secret tin decoration that another asshole pins it on your chest - you caught an ennemy of the state. And then go and snatch a factory or two and have all your dlaves working there for less than a dollar a day to make you rich and then retire in the U.S., as many of you secret police guys did, and boast against the U.S. and how good mother China was, but never wanting to go back.
You're so hypocritical, man, marx was indee right, the Asian production mode is the most dangerous of all.

Jiajia,

If you think I'm biased, how come that no critical post against China is coming from Chinese? I've been folowing this forum for many years and no critical post against China is allowed behind the Chinese firewall; only the official line is allowed to pass here. Where I grew up from, this means one single thing: you are doing this because you are told to do it, or else.

Think about it, man, the Chinese society is not a healthy one, as much as you try to show us, poor shmucks, that we've been so wrong against this nest of profitors and heartless communists that threw away Marx' capital for more realistic cold crisp hard green currency. But you, secret police guys, you are still there, controlling everything and taking a toll on everything.

And tell us again about the re education camps, about toiling with less than a dollar per day on the nouveau riches factories and maybe you can tell us your real name, your rank and how much are you paid to pontificate about the superiority of Chinese system.
Give us some credit, we're not that brainwashed, you stupid communist.

The thread title "Don't be too CNN!" sounds like a propaganda slogan.

Yup, it is an assignment form the higher ups. Now, with the Olympc games and the shit there, they are in a very uncomfortbale position: are these Olympic games more like 1936 Nazi Olympic games? Or more like Seoul olympic games?
Very tough choice, we'll do it Chinese way: it is like 1936 but we'd like to look like 1988; Internet is wonderful, you can have so many identities and you can have a virtual discussion to earn your keep.
These PR secret police guys are so dumb that they did not realize that by thinking/writing in stereotypes (CNN bad, Xinhua good) they showed themselves as paid agents of Chinese government.

Jiajia, please argue with me, but first please write a very bad post against Chinese government, you know what I'm talking about: tianmen square, fallun gong, tibet, incredible working conditions in sweatshops, how the taxi drivers throw out pregnant moms on the way of hospital due to bad luck, something really bad. Lets see if this passes the Chinese filters. Then we'll start talking. Until then, arrivederci, au revoir, auf wiedershen, good bye, dosfidania, la revedere.

Workers' Paradise another name for USSR or CCCP

Other common expressions by communists

"You're a dupe of the system and don't even realise it"

"True democracy can't exist in a Capitalistic society"

Communism:

From each according to his means, to each according to his needs.

It would be a wonderful system, if only everybody would just cooperate.

TO: Mr/Ms Q.E.D.

HAHAHA, am I really secret police? Yes, I am a spy who works on Internet, thanks for your imagine, You do not have to consider me as a general Chinese citizen, Yes, certainly you have the human right to do it. Dual standard has been always put into the policy of Anti-Chinese. Do you mean that Evil heresy just like FLG has much more right to do whatever they want to do, and most of people have no option just to be fooled by them, or even lead themselves to death or injury? Do you want to see social convulsion burst out in China, and then everything is irremediable just like IRAQ, then USA can send Army to China justifiably? Do you think Northern Ireland should divide from Great Britain and Quebec also should, from Canada? Is there any places that can divide from USA or France? I even suggest China's government could support those splittists who wanted to break up Western rules and attempted to disengage from governments. I just got a news that, in Sinkiang of China, 16 people killed and 16 people injured yesterday, in a terroristic explosion launched by East Turkistan terrorists which USA (maybe also Europe) supported all the time, do you know what's it? It's just like 'Al-Qaeda' (Osama Bin Laden) in China, why doesn't USA still suppress them, while in the other hand USA tried to support terrorists in CHINA? Please don't tell me they're doing holy jihad war. IT IS DUAL STANDARD!

If you still believe that I'm a secret police or 007 Spy, It's all up to you then. You're NOT the GOD, what you've known is NOT absolutely right.

Please Do Rember, China Will NOT become U.S.A Forever! China Will NEVER be the horrible dragon. (In fact, in Chinese, it's NOT correct for 龍/龙 to be translated as dragon in English, they're definately very different things.) so, Eastern "dragon" is Not the same with Western Evil dragon.
