<<why was Pauline banned from Langcafé ? >>

Pauline was a pain in the ass. She kept provoking Sander who responded in kind and got himself banned from Langcafé. She continued to post weird messages and accused others of being mean to her or ignoring her altogether. Then she got mad because she found out there was a secret adult's only subforum and despite being told that she was underage, she continued to bitch about it and created another account under a fake name and asked André to grant her access to the subforum, which he did. When André found out it was Pauline all along, he kicked her off, which sent that wimpy, spoilt brat Benjamin on a nasty tirade against André for not being sympathetic to her.

-------------------------

I disagree, you haven't got that quite right. Sander was banned months before Pauline, and he really was a pain in the ass (I give you that!)

Pauline did post weird messages, that's true but she didn't accuse anyone of being mean to her that I can remember. She did write a post about the others ignoring her, but it was definitely when she was ill because it wasn't only about people ignoring her, but all sorts of weirdness like thoughts being put into their heads and so on.

I didn't find her that annoying, actually, I liked her. She was fun and never rude to anyone personally. She obviously wasn't normal and with mental people you don't know what to expect next but most people on the forum didn't have a problem with her. I think the forum lost a lot of its appeal when they banned her, especially the way André did it (bitching behind her back but on a thread viewed by everyone else).

As for Benjamin, I found the guy pleasant enough. You sound very bitter, Guest2, it makes me sort of think you could be a certain person whose name I won't mention because I'd only be speculating and I prefer facts.

The adult forum business was a mess and completely André's fault. I had access to it and found it rather dull, some people found it pornographic seeing as it had pictures of penises and the like. The trouble started when Porthos, who was 17, had access but André announced that it was strictly 18+ knowing full well that underage visitors were viewing it. Pauline was the only regular visitor excluded from the adult forum so of course she wanted to see it. Wouldn't you if you were her age?

André didn't deal with things well. He's quite a likable guy, I wouldn't say he was deliberately provocative like Sander was, but he got vicious when he was angry, and he said some things which should never have been said. He's not had an easy life being gay and Afrikaans I guess and the bitterness came out now and again.

The results speak for themselves. From a buzzing forum last year, it's now practically abandoned except for the odd visit by Uriel, Elaine and André. The last 2 are the Admin anyway. It couldn't be Pauline's or Benjamin's fault, seeing as she was banned in 2007 and Benjamin left after a tirade of abuse which was thrown at him and originally instigated by André. No, most people liked those two youngsters but had finally had enough of André.

restricted sub-forums are an undemocratic feature creating unnecessary conflicts.....i won't join langcafè

Yes, there shouldn't be restricted subforums!

Guest as you explained those people are making a big mess because of internet. Life can be more easy without internet forums . Rude words , battering over the internet, everything which you are not going to meet in real life it's more easy to gain it here. So I said it's better without forums. One day you will wonder who was that Pauline as I wonder who was Ryoriate and so and so. Those people are not real people.Whole that story which you tell me explained me all that people as a characters, but probably they aren't real characters, they are imaginative characters. The fact that Pauline created second account and went in adult forum speak only for one that there is something called multiplication of personality. It's like one hydra with thousand talking heads.

Not really, Laura, - perhaps it's unwise to judge people you've never personally had any contact with. It's quite some conclusion to reach that someone's not a real character when all you've done is read a second-hand account of forum activity which took place several months ago and which you didn't actually read for yourself.

If I remember correctly, the second account was in the name of a horse whose location was "in my field" and its hobbies listed as "running, jumping and eating grass". Pauline even wrote a message openly explaining how she'd created an account for a horse so she could view the adult forum!

I suggest we stop this discussion now before any more people call others a hydra with a thousand talking heads. Basta!

Back to Antimooners we admire: I enjoy reading greg's and Travis' explanations (even though sometimes what they write goes over my head).

no, hydra is an expression which doesn't show the real character of none. Hydra is my personal expression it's not connected with Pauline of nobody. No offense. OK. I have my personal vision for a hyrda with thousand talking heads, but that's the other story. I't all connected with spamming.

Ok. I will leave antimoon for a while, sorry for misunderstanding. Back to Antimooners: :)

<< Travis, Trawicks, Lazar, and greg, if you like the technical stuff. Kirk was good at that, too, but he's long gone. >>

I should have included Candy in this list. If you see this, sorry Candy.

Yes, couldn't agree more: restricted sub-forums are a seriously bad idea.

It was Kirk's forum, but that was ages ago, long before André took over. Kirk and Yann left years ago.

I meant gay as in homosexual (what's gy?) Yep, South African, but specifically Afrikaans-speaking. It's not a culture known for tolerance or liberal views so I can imagine that for a gay guy life isn't always that easy.

Don't forget "Adam", a real English patriot.

There used to be someone here who sometimes posted about Freud - can't remember his nym, though.
