Learning two languages - in parallel or successively

Yes, quite.

If you like Italian I would just go for it now if you really can't resist the temptation. But I see no problem with learning both, you can usually tell the difference between the two, regardless of how similar they are.

I was going to learn both european and brazilian portuguese but now i'v changed my mind. Now i'l just be learning brazilian as i find it much more sensual than europeanand much easier.But i have now replaced it with spanish since it is quite amaizing how similar portuguese and spanish are.

I like how European Portuguese does the A and L like in English, while Brazilian Portuguese does it more like the Spanish A and L.

But I think it's better to learn Brazilian Portuguese rather than the European variety because you can be understood speaking Brazilian Portuguese in Europe, but not the other way around.
