I think French is more beautiful and more important.

Yes,of course, also swahili has more prestige than Spanish.....JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA..........

FRENCH IS THE SECOND MOST WIDELY SPOKEN LANGUAGE IN THE WORLD AFTER ENGLISH. IT USED TO BE FIRST!

VIVE LE FRANCAIS!

ALL SPANISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES ARE POOR, EXCEPT MAYBE SPAIN.

All the people who said that Mexican Spanish is annoying, you're just considering the illegal alien accent you hear in the States, real Mexican Spanish from the middle class is probably the most neutral of all Spanish accents.

no why would middle class mexican be 'real' mexican? middle class mexican is watered down 'real' mexican, which is spoken in villiages and rural areas ... the same with other countries, too, you stupid one
Duh   Sat Jan 23, 2010 8:44 am GMT
You're focusing on the uneducated ones to classify Mexican Spanish as "annoying" that'd be like me focusing on Rednecks to classify American English as vulgar.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder (or the listener, in this case). However, to deny that Spanish is, today, more important, especially economically, is foolish.
Perhaps when the French ex-colonies in Africa overcome squalor and *IF* they all adopt French as an official language, as well as lingua franca, French will relive its glory days.

That's impossible. Africa is a continent without redemption, thanks in part to the French colonial activity.
