How do you pronounce "antimoon"?

Thanks, Chloe. So people in South England say ahn-tee, people in Manchester say ant-ee, people in America say it however they want to say, but most Americans say ant-ee. I say ahn-tee.

Interesting, looking at where people say ant-ee and where people say ahn-tee, it seems like more people say ant-ee.

Here is a list of American dialect variations as recorded by some linguists at Harvard. The very first one on the list is where people pronounce the word "aunt" as ant-ee, ahn-tee and on-tee.

As I guessed, most Americans say ant when they mean aunt.

Hé! According to the Harvard maps, people here in San Jose (in California, not Costa Rica) say all three!
