Salve!

Now tell me that you're not a native speaker of Catalan. Your Catalan sentence in English it means "The Filipino have to speak.....". Where is the Catalan counterpart of devoir, deber, or dever(e)?

<< Siguro kayong mga Tagalog ayaw niyo. Pero kaming mga Bisaya would welcome it since we use more Spanish loan words making it easier for us to learn it. >>

>>>5) Employment: Spain is the number one tourist destination in the world. Filipinos already have a good reputation as excellent workers in Spain. Filipinos can get higher level positions by speaking spanish well.

Wrong. France is number one. Spain maybe second. I'm not sure.

Bisaya jud ko. Nganong dili man ka mutuo? Anyway, I've never said I'm for or against the Philippines speaking Spanish again. I'm simply stating that Bisayans don't care much about Tagalog. At least the educated ones.

As I've said, I'm neither for nor against.

I'm planning to learn another foreign languages. And those languages are French, German, Japanese, Russian, Italian. My knowledge of these languages is very limited. In fact I'm more familiar with Spanish since I have 18 units of Spanish in my college.

I'm so lucky that I was able to take Spanish because I can teach myself French and especially Italian since those 2 languages are so close to Spanish grammatically and lexically. I'd rather speak those 2 Romance languages as additional foreign languages than Spanish.

The Objective Art of Reverse Comparison. Illogical but cool.

For those wondering, I don't speak Spanish myself but it would certainly benefit some Pinoys since according to the World Bank, Spain has displaced Canada as the eight largest economy in the world (but not according to the IMF.) And they look upon fondly on Pinoys. They only discriminate (daw) on Latin Americans.

It's not illogical since you yourselves insist that the Filipinos have to learn Spanish because according to some of you, there are large percentage of Spanish loanwords in the Philippine vernacular languages. There's a parallel between your statement and my argument.

To anyone who "OPPOSES" the idea of bringing the Spanish back into the Philippines.

Please state your reasons why you disagree to have it back?

1. Reasons must be reasonable.
2. Reasons must not be non-sense.
3. Reasons must be total "MISBENEFITS" for the Filipinos.

Otherwise, you're just proving yourself stupid.

I just came from a party, I met so many Latin Americans. When someone said I'm Filipino, they all went up to me and started talking to me like they have known me for decades and decades. I felt like I was at home and with my family.
