I don't usually have a problem with "really", but the word "like" is another story. If someone says, "I like the way you speak", "I would like some bread", or something of that nature, it is perfectly acceptable. However, when people use it is a filler word or in every god-forsaken sentence, it makes me want to stick a red-hot poker in my ears.

I don't mind the use of "like" as a filler word, but it does get annoying when it's overused. But the same goes for any word.
