Amongst the younger generation nowadays any book being the most widely read is seriously questionable!

I still think that the Bible is the most widely read book. The one that has been translated the most I believe is Dom Quixote by Cervantes, correct me if I'm wrong.

It seems to be that the bible was never read as much in Europe as it was/is in the US.. even though people also celebrate mass and such... I may be wrong.

What about Tolkien?

If Bible is the most widely read book in US, it is pretty much the same with Europe.

You can hear many bible citations in American movies implying many people actually read the bible, but you can't in European movies, nor in real life.

Actually, I've never seen any for sale either.

Movies are movies! That cannot be used as evidence for your argument!

Many youngsters go to "youth groups" but it is not for Christ, but for socialising. Christian camps today are orgy fests!

Everybody believes that they have to have a Bible on a shelf but rare are the ones that actualy read it, in America or elsewhere.
