The CRA has mounted successful attacks on British forces. The British army has been recalled to defend London from attack by the Cornish. Troops are said to be terrified but since they're English troops the MOD has said this is to be expected. Scots and Welsh soldiers have been called in to reinforce the city but the response was "Get stuffed boyo" and "Piss off, you southern Nancy".

Bearing in mind the title of this particular thread, would some nice person from Kernow (Cornwall) please translate all the French postings in here into Cornish, then we will all be happily understanding. I get the gist, but as this is really a Cornish (or at least Celtic) related thread, an appropriate full translation would be cool. I've tried to phone my fluent French speaking mate in Anglesey (Wales) to ask him to translate into Welsh (next best thing) but his mobile is switched off so uncontactable except by text and so far no response. Restricted lunchtime allowance precludes doing a babelfish.

The people of Bolton have risen and have took over the local town hall. although pronounced the same, there are 2 slightly different spelling systems - UCR - Unified Cornish Revised, and Common Cornish (Kernewek Kemmyn)... they are trying to come up with one spelling system to keep both sides happy, dreckly !

For most Cornish the official National anthem of Kernow is widely accepted as 'Bro Goth Agan Tasow'. It has the same tune as the Breton and Welsh National anthems of 'Bro Gozh a Tadou' and 'Hen Wlad Fyn Haddau'.
In all three languages the title means roughly the same 'Great land of our forefathers'. If you want to get a feel for it they play it before Welsh Rugby Internationals. For each of the countries the words are subtley different. For example when the Welsh sing 'Gwlad! Gwlad! pleidiol etc.', the Cornish sing 'Kernow, Kernow, y keryn Kernow!'. The song is for all the Brythonic Celts about the love of their homeland and like 'Hail to the Homeland' is very evocative. The reason that it is not so widely recognised as the unofficial anthem "Trelawny", is that it is only sung in Cornish !
